Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year – 2010! I trust this year has begun positively for everyone as I wish you all a prosperous and fabulous New Year. As we look forward to new and exciting challenges for this year, I am very pleased to present our Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations as our guest speaker for this month’s Parent Advisory Council Workshop on January 20, 2009 – “Budget 101,” in the Ulysses Byas Elementary School. It is extremely important that we reach out to all of our parents and members of the community in an asserted effort to get the word out to about this year’s upcoming budget. Mr. Weiser will be on hand to answer questions as well as provide the process of developing our school budget. As always, we will be acknowledging our outstanding students who have made strides in improvement. Nominated students may have shown improvement in their behavior, attitude, communication skills or their interaction with their peers. Overall we are looking for those who have shown a marked improvement academically or as young people in general. Nominations are due no later than January 15, 2010. Please review the attached flyers, make necessary copies and distribute to your parents. I thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming PACW.
